Recognition of Successful Chinese Immersion Programs
College Gardens Elementary School's Chinese Immersion Program is one of 3 successful programs in Montgomery County Public Schools in the Potomac, MD region. The district began implementing these immersion programs a few years ago, and now in its fourth year, College Gardens boasts 99 students and an admission process that involves a lottery system due to the high demand of parents who want to send their children to the school.

Aside from the program at College Gardens Elementary, the district also provides immersion programs for Kindergarten through Grade 1 students at Potomac Elementary, as well as an immersion program for Grade 6 students at Herbert Hoover Middle School.
