Better Chinese at the 2010 NCLC Conference in Washington, D.C.

We are so excited to be going to Washington, D.C. next week, April 22nd –April 24th, for the National Chinese Language Conference! This year’s NCLC carries an important theme: “Learning Chinese: Thinking Globally.” There will be great sessions covering important topics such as curriculum and instruction, effective use of technology and teaching material, student assessment, as well as teacher development and support. This is a great way for you to learn more about what it means to build a sustainable Chinese language program and, of course, see us! As a team, we are excited to share with you some wonderful news about our most recent progress. We are happy to announce that Better Chinese has been officially adopted in 8 states!  The list includes West Virginia, Utah, Tennessee, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Idaho, and Georgia and most recently, in 2010, Texas.  Come by our booth #35 to learn more about our state-adopted materials. We are also proud to announce that our Online Learning System now includes Online Lesson Planner and Classroom Management.  Our Online Lesson Planner will give teachers more flexibility to easily plan and create lesson plans that tie in our textbooks, workbooks, assessments, worksheets, and online resources.  A teacher can create a comprehensive lesson plan for the academic year or just for the class day in a few minutes. Our Classroom Management tool allows instructors to assign homework and other learning modules to students and monitor as well as track students progress with ease! We also have new Level Readers, Supplemental Books, new teacher’s guides, activity sheets, worksheets, and assessments. Again, come visit us!  If you are attending NCLC, have a safe trip and we hope to see you there!
