2013 Back to School Chinese Teacher Training Webinars

In preparation for the upcoming 2013-2014 school year, we are offering 3 webinars to help teachers get their Chinese programs ready for a new batch of students. Over the course of the next couple of weeks, we are offering three different tracks of webinars focused on the following topics: Building the Chinese iPad Classroom with Discovering Chinese Pro Discovering Chinese Pro is the first and only Chinese language curriculum on the iPad for middle and high school students. This session introduces the implementation of iPad classrooms to facilitate lesson delivery, in-class communicative activities, and self-study at home. Learn how to leverage the administrative tools to message students, assign work and run reports.

  Getting the Most from Better Chinese's Online Learning System Make your language learning lab more effective with the Better Chinese Online Learning System. The session will focus on how to effectively use all of the features of the system to get your students reading, writing, speaking and listening more than ever. Information on how to track and provide feedback on each student's performance will also be presented.

  Instructional Strategies Best Practices Learn how to effectively incorporate, communicate, and demonstrate effective instructional strategies based on best practices shared by Chinese language instructors across the world. Offer innovative and creative ways to teach Mandarin Chinese in a CFL context or in an immersion classroom setting by seeking the enduring understandings and investigating the essential questions of Backwards Design.
